USP <797> Compliance
ITW Texwipe has adapted well to the
USP <797> directives by introducing products which expand their wiper
and mop lines.
The objective of the USP <797> directives is to describe conditions and practices
to prevent harm, including death, to patients that could result from:
- Microbial contamination
- Excessive bacterial endotoxins
- Variability in the intended strength of ingredients
- Chemical and physical contaminants
- Incorrect type of quality of ingredients in Compound Sterile Preparations (CSPs)
The directives directly effect those companies that provide
Compound Sterile Preparations (CSPs).
Many of these companies are using isolators that have to be cleaned efficiently

manufactured different Alpha Mop size heads and handles, with different covers to
follow suit.
Texwipe Consumables
Listed below are the basic consumable products and basic applications. There are
specific series and part numbers which should be used, depending on the type of
surface, degree of contamination control, and surface area.

Wipers
- Cleaning interior and exterior surfaces to reduce particles, residues and other
sources of contamination

Cleanroom Pre-wetted Wipers
- Reduce solvent preparation steps, storage requirements, VOCs and usage quantities
- Improve control over cleaning protocol with consistent wetting of wipers; avoid
over-saturation or under-saturation of wipers

solvents
Sterile Dry Wipers
- Gamma-irradiated to 10-6 sterility level in accordance with AAMI Guidelines

- Solvent-safe Bag-Within-a-Bag® cleanroom packaging permits alcohol wipedown of exterior bag before introduction of inner bag into cleanrooms and sterile suites
- Lot-traceable shipments with lot-specific Certificate of Processing and Certificate of Compliance with expiration date on each container

Sterile Pre-wetted Wipers
- Convenient alternative to wipers and spray bottles of alcohol

QuickSat Hydrogen Peroxide Wipers
- Pre-wetted with 6% hyrogen peroxide at point of use.

TOC Cleaning Validation Kits/Swabs
Texwipe offers different types of swabs and kits for validation of contaminants that are evident during manufacturing and the actual cleaning process itself.
They have engineered their swabs to delivery consistent and accurate sampling for
cleaning validation using analytical techniques such as HPLC and UV/Visible spectroscopy.

TexPure® CMP Cleaning System
TexPure® is a surfactant-free, alcohol-free concentrated cleaning solution filtered
to 0.2 µm and cleanroom packaged in one-gallon polyethylene bottles for general
cleanroom maintenance. The bottles and caps are treated to prevent leaching. TexPure
is an effective alternative to alcohol-based hard surface cleaners and is nonflammable,*
biodegradable,** and less than 3% VOC content when diluted, as designed, with deionized
water.
