The typical resolutions or measuring steps range from a few micrometres down to the nanometre range. Another core element of the product range are high-precision and resistant graduations which are manufactured in thin-layer technology on glass or other carrier substrates. RSF Elektronik also develops customized cable systems for the widest range of sectors and areas of application, and these are manufactured by the new Stříbřo, Czech Republic subsidiary. Sealed Linear Encoders (RSF Elektronik)

Sealed linear encoders from RSF Elektronik are particularly suitable for use in situations which demand a high level of precision and efficiency despite harsh ambient conditions including coolant and lubricant ingress or soiling by shavings, filings or dust.

For applications where the linear encoders are used in very harsh environments, there are methods of extra protection (IP 64) beyond the sealed unit´s standard set of sealing lips.

Exposed linear encoders from RSF Elektronik are frequently a requirement with today's motion control applications. This is driven by steadily increasing demands for higher traversing speed, higher operating cycles, lower mechanical backlash and zero frictional force induced by the encoder. Only exposed, non-contact encoders fulfill all these requirements. Exposed encoders are optimized and commonly used in clean environments.
